Acknowledgements

Our greatest thanks go out to all our speakers for patiently participating in our experiments. We also thank all the faculty members and other people in the Institut d’Études Amazighes at the Ibn Zohr University in Agadir for their kind cooperation on multiple occasions. Without their help and assistance, none of the present data would have been recorded.

Specifically we want to thank Martine Grice for her continuing support and her scientific advice on our field trips. We are grateful to Rachid Ridouane for introducing us to the world of Tashlhiyt and for his help with the first recording session. Finally, we would like to emphasize the contribution of Abderrahmane Charki, who has been an indispensable help with the logistics of all recording sessions.

Specific thanks go to those who helped us give the corpus its present annotated shape:

  • Abderrahmane Charki (Agadir) for transcription of recordings
  • Mohamed Saadouni (Leiden) for initial help with translation of recordings
  • Marijn van Putten (Universiteit Leiden) for morphological glossing of recordings
  • Rana Almbark (University of York) for the Arabic translation on this site
